The Members

Juan Aguirre - Originally from Hermosillo, Sonora Mexico. Juan has a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Vocal Performance from the U of A.  He has performed for audiences around the world. Currently he is a regular with the Arizona Rose Theatre Company. His voice can also be heard as a bilingual actor and voice over artist.

Brandon Howell - Brandon started performing at a young age in Los Angeles, both of his parents are in the “biz”.  When his family moved to Arizona in 1986 they founded the Arizona Rose Theatre Company.  In addition to being the Managing Director of the Arizona Rose Theatre Company, Brandon also manages the Berger Performing Arts Center as sell as working with the Southern Arizona Light Opera Company and has done voice over work for the  Flandrau Planetarium.

 

Luke Howell - Second tenor extraordinaire, has been performing since he was four years old.  Between Tucson and LA, he has logged over 1,000 appearances on-stage.  Favorite dramatic roles include 'Bo' Decker in Bus Stop, 'Doc.' Holiday in Tombstone: The Musical, and El Gallo in The Fantasticks.  He is a resident artist with the Arizona Rose Theatre Company, and is currently writing a new  musical entitled The Whistler.  He is more than happy to be singing with The Presidio Boys.

Andy Thomas - Andy received his B.A in Music Education for Northern Arizona University and his Masters of Arts in Music Education from The University of Arizona. He has performed many musical theater roles around the country, including A-rab in “West Side Story” with Opera Illinois, Freddie Einsford Hill with CLOC, in Cape Cod, Ma., and he has also performed with Arizona Opera Company.  Competing in NATS Vocal Competitions in College Andy was the 1st place award recipient in his division three years in a row. 

Andy has performed as a soloist in Handel’s Messiah with the Flagstaff Symphony and among his favorite roles are George Novak, in “She Loves Me” with NAU Opera Theater, and Lt. Joseph Cable, in “South Pacific” with the Flagstaff Light Opera company.

Andy worked as a High School choral music educator at Flowing Wells High School in Tucson for many years, and for the last 14 years he has served in full time ministry as a Worship Pastor and now Associate Pastor at Casas Church in Tucson Az.

And has always sung in Men’s Acapella groups going all the way back to High School and is extremely excited to join The Presidio Boys as their newest member.

Jon Thuerbach is in a better place now ... Kentucky!  We're going to miss him. 

Once a Presidio Boy ... Always a Presidio Boy!!!

Jon Thuerbach – Jon has been performing professionally for over twenty years.  He has performed in more than 50 musicals and musical reviews. While living in San Diego, Jon was a resident company member with Starlight Musical Theater for ten years.  Tucson theater-goers will recognize Jon for his performances with SALOC and his portrayal of Simon Peter in Tucson‘s Passion Play.  Six years ago, Jon and his wife opened Christian Youth Theater, offering classes in the performing arts and producing fully staged and orchestrated musicals throughout the year.
